Snow days

Posted by on January 18, 2013

I hope that you are all making the most of the snowy weather.  This is also a great time to think about our topic.  We have been thinking about world war 2 in class, and we are going to start thinking about evacuation.  What do the children think that they would pack into a small suitcase if they were to be evacuated?  Please write a list or draw a picture and label it showing all of the things that you would take with you.  Remember in 1939 there were no home computers, laptops, I-pads or mobile phones.

Remember that the suitcases would be fairly small, and the children could be away from home for a long time.

The children would also have to carry their own suitcases.  There wouldn’t be any wheels on them like on a modern suitcase!
